What we collect

When you create an account, we store your email address and an optional passkey for authentication. If you're signed in, your translation history and language preferences are saved to your account.

We also receive your IP-based country code from Cloudflare to suggest relevant languages. We don't store your IP address.

Translation data

Your translation text is sent to third-party translation services (Google Translate, DeepL, OpenAI) to produce results. We don't control how those services process your text — refer to their respective privacy policies.

If you're signed in, translations are saved to your history. You can delete individual translations or clear your entire history at any time from the app.

Guest usage

If you use Anani without an account, translations are stored only in your browser's local storage. Nothing is sent to our servers beyond the translation request itself.

Cookies

We use a single session cookie (anani_session) to keep you signed in. No tracking cookies or third-party analytics cookies are used.

Payments

Donations are processed by Stripe. We don't store your payment details — they go directly to Stripe. See Stripe's privacy policy.

Data deletion

You can delete your translation history from the app. To delete your account entirely, email privacy@anani.app.

Hosting

Anani is hosted on Cloudflare Workers. Data is stored in Cloudflare D1 (SQLite). See Cloudflare's privacy policy.
